Rockland County District Attorney’s Office Welcomed Fieldstone Middle School For Insightful Tour and Legal Experience

Recently, eighth graders from Fieldstone Middle School had the unique opportunity to tour the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office (RCDAO) and the Rockland County Courthouse. The students were introduced to various aspects of the legal system, including a demonstration by RCDAO electronics detection K9 Remy, a visit to Judge Fried’s courtroom and participation in a mock arraignment, where students took on roles as both the District Attorney and defense attorney. The experience allowed the students to gain a deeper understanding of the legal process and the responsibilities of those who work in the justice system.
The tour was capped off with a meeting with #RocklandCounty District Attorney Tom Walsh, who provided an overview of the District Attorney’s Office and answered students’ questions. It was inspiring to see so many students eager to learn more about the legal profession, with many expressing an interest in pursuing careers in law.
