POMONA, NY – Surrounded by family, friends, religious leaders, and elected officials, William “Bill” Weber (Republican, Conservative) was sworn into office as the Senator for New York’s 38th Senate District, representing Clarkstown, Haverstraw, Orangetown, and Ramapo.

Two hundred guests filled the Fire Training Center in Pomona to celebrate this momentous occasion and hear from speakers, including Rockland County Executive Ed Day and Clarkstown Supervisor George Hoehmann. Rabbi Abraham Horowitz gave the invocation. Pastor Greg Merriweather said the benediction, followed by Suffern Judge Earnest Buonocore, who swore in Senator
Weber.

Senator Bill Weber remarked, “I think we can all agree on three basic things: great schools for our kids, safe neighborhoods to live in, and a community where we can afford to reside. I ran on those principles and will go to Albany and fight for these important issues daily.”

“Now that the campaign is over, and you, the citizens, elected me as your State Senator, the real work begins. I don’t care what political party, religion, or race you belong to; you are ALL my constituents. My staff and I work for you, my door will always
be open, and you will always be represented honestly and fairly,” Senator Weber concluded.

This program helps reduce misunderstandings, lowers anxiety, and fosters a more empathetic and safer environment for everyone. 💙
